About Krusty’s Fun House

Krusty’s Fun House is a puzzle-action game that turns the Simpsons clown’s amusement park into a maze of unruly rats. Released on the NES in 1992, it puts Krusty in charge of clearing each area by guiding the rodents toward waiting traps. The challenge is not simply reaching the end of a stage; you must arrange the environment so the rats follow the route you want, often while dealing with awkward layouts, hazards, and limited room to maneuver.

Krusty can push and place objects to build paths, block unwanted directions, and funnel groups of rats toward their destination. A single misplaced item can send them wandering away from the solution, so progress depends on observing their movement and planning several steps ahead. The game mixes deliberate puzzle solving with light platforming and action, since Krusty still has to move around the screen and handle threats while setting up each room.

Its presentation draws on The Simpsons’ distinctive cartoon style, with Krusty’s appearance and the Fun House setting giving the otherwise demanding puzzles plenty of personality. The later stages become increasingly intricate, asking you to think carefully rather than rely on quick reflexes. That combination makes Krusty’s Fun House a surprisingly thoughtful NES title: approachable at first, but capable of testing patience and spatial reasoning as the layouts grow more complicated.

Developed by Audiogenic Software and published by Acclaim, the game is a good fit for players who enjoy puzzle games with an active arcade edge. Whether you remember it from the 8-bit era or are discovering it for the first time, you can play online on your browser through RetroCloud and see how effectively you can clean up Krusty’s chaotic attraction.
